In my experience with natural cleaners, I have often been disappointed. In the past, anytime a solution didn’t include chemicals, it also didn’t work very well either. But how do you find something that cleans well that doesn’t make you cough and wheeze from the chemical smell?
Up until a few years ago, I thought this wasn’t possible. I have been using Young Living products and trust their integrity, so I decided to try their Thieves Cleaner. According to the Essential Oils Desk Reference, Thieves Cleaner is “A nontoxic, biodegradable, cleansing solution that uses therapeutic-grade essential oils as emulsifiers and germ-killers. It contains Thieves Essential Oil Blend, which is very effective for cleaning.
The Young Living essential oils included in the Thieves oil blend are clove, lemon, cinnamon bark, eucalyptus radiata, and rosemary.
I have also add the Thieves cleaner to my natural laundry detergent because I figured if it worked this well on stains that had been there for years, it would have to work well as a laundry detergent.
